Come on a Vacay with C&K.

Q: You recently travelled to Isla Mujeres, Mexico to shoot Cooke & Kin’s La Vacacion campaign. Tell us about why you picked Mexico as the location for this shoot?

"I have always felt a deep love for Mexico. The people, culture, architecture and food has always drawn me in – not to mention how beautiful the landscape is.

Isla Mujeres has always been high on my list of places to visit, as has Casa Caracol, or The Shell House – the beautiful home that features in our campaign imagery. When we were scouting locations to shoot our La Vacacion collection, Casa Caracol was available and I felt like there couldn’t be a more perfect setting."

Q: Which pieces from La Vacacion have been your go-tos on this trip and why?

"Because we spent so much time by the water, all of our new swim was on high rotation this trip. I also made sure to keep our oversized shirts close to me each day to help protect my skin the sun.

And, of course, our Paleta Silk Sarongs. This piece can be tied as a skirt, dress, top and swim coverup, so it really is the most versatile piece from the collection."

Q: What are the top three things to do in Isla Mejures?

"Hire a buggy and explore the main town and many beautiful beaches. there are so many amazing nooks along the coast that you can find by buggy.

Spend a day at Playa Norte. It has the most beautiful turquoise water and powder white sand. The Mayan Beach Club also has great drinks which is a stones thrown from the sea.

Go snorkeling! Isla Mujeres is best known for its beaches and relaxed pace, so any kind of beach activity is top of the list here."

Q: What are your Vacay essentials?

"A film camera, sunscreen (50+) and a great bikini."
